Interested in a 44-mile race covering the entire length of the Rivanna River? Volunteer to help make it happen in 2019.

About us:
We are an informal group of canoe and kayak paddlers from the Charlottesville, VA area and our skills range from novice to competitive paddler. You may have heard us called, "Rivanna Paddlers" since the Rivanna River is our local recreational body of water. We support our annual Rivanna River Canoe & Kayak Race.

We welcome anyone of any age and skill level who may be interested in taking their paddling to the next level, but donít know where to begin. We meet for recreational paddles every Wednesday evening, assembly time ~5:30-6pm from May through October starting at the boat ramp at the end of Woodburn Rd, Charlottesville. Our first Wednesday evening paddle of 2018 was May 2. Come join us for a relaxing float on the reservoir with good food and good company Wednesdays at ~5:30-6pm launch. Contact dave [at}cville paddlers -dot-com with any questions.

Thanks to our racers and volunteers we raised $437.37 for the Rivanna Conservation Alliance through our 2018 race.
