Spring Sojourn and River Cleanup
We fully support the Rivanna Conservation Alliance (RCA) and their Spring Sojourn and River Cleanup on Sunday, April 29. Please join them to enjoy a great day on the river and help clean up and preserve our local river! We have also decided that any and all proceeds (revenues less expenses) from this year's river race will be donated to RCA.

About us:
We are an informal group of canoe and kayak paddlers from the Charlottesville, VA area and our skills range from novice to competitive paddler. You may have heard us called, "Rivanna Paddlers" since the Rivanna River is our local recreational body of water.

We welcome anyone of any age and skill level who may be interested in taking their paddling to the next level, but donít know where to begin. We meet for recreational paddles every Wednesday evening, assembly time ~5:30-6pm from May through October starting at the boat ramp at the end of Woodburn Rd, Charlottesville. Our first Wednesday evening paddle of 2018 is May 2. Come join us for a relaxing float on the reservoir with good food and good company.

Playboat found: One of our members found a whitewater play boat on the S. Rivanna Reservoir and is trying to find its owner. Best guess is the windstorm blew it out of somebody's backyard or it drifted down from the Moormans or Meechums. Details at
